TECHNIQUE & WORKFLOW

This is where it gets "up close and personal". There really is no one best way to produce digital photographs. Rather than leave you in a state of ambiguity about workflow, I'd like to explain my approach:

I've invested a lot of sweat equity in separating the wheat from the chaff when it comes to digital processing of image files. I have a reasonably deep understanding. Yes, many others can top me on the minutiae, but few can approach my level of structure and analysis. I can share this with you.

I help you understand how everything works as an organized system. We can work towards developing streamlined repeatable processes. At this time, I am most comfortable working in PC-based (as opposed to Macintosh) environments.

Here are the broad topical areas - collections of proven practices, if you will - that I am willing to provide consultation for:

  • Digital capture techniques
  • Digital "darkroom" considerations
  • File handling and archiving
  • RAW file operations (Photoshop & other converters)
  • Image refinement (Photoshop & plug-ins)
  • Image output (print, web, & AV via Photoshop)

In order to produce consistently masterful
photographs with digital media,
you need every bit as much moxie
as you do with film and more.
YOU are the lab!

Film is not coming back - the time to dig in is now. Contact me - I'll show you how.
